The weather was brilliant, and i guess it did some good for Karen (she is overly stressed at the minute with work stuff. Salut tout le monde, nous sommes donc de retour de l'ile de Rottnest, ou nous avons passe un weekend super. Il a fait trop trop beau pour un jour d'automne, 26 degres, grand ciel bleu..cool. Je viens de mettre en place, sur la droite de l'ecran un petit "livre d'or", ou vous pouvez nous laisser des messages a l'ecran. Apres validation de ma part bien sur ;-)..voili voila..

Today Schapelle Corby has been sentence to 20 years of jail. Here, it causes a major stir. To recap the case quickly, Schapelle Corby went to Bali on an holiday, and got cought with 4.2 Kg of Marijuana....but the twist is that it has been proven that the drug were actually planted in her bag by baggage handler @ Brisbane Airport...but Indonesian law had found Schapelle guilty of importing the drug, even against her will....a bit shit really..if you want to learn a bit more baout that click here : Google Search: schapelle corby.
On a more positive note for us, we are going to Rottnest Island today, a small island 30 minutes away by boat from Fremantle. We have been there in November last year, and we loved it, so as the weather is great (26c) we have decided to have the weekend there, so no more updates until Monday (we are back on sunday late)...Cheerioooo

Aujourd'hui, Schapelle Corby (une australienne emprisonee en Indonesie) a ete "jugee" coupable d'importer 4.2 Kg de Marijuana a Bali.....elle vient de prendre 20 Ans...Le probleme, c'est que depuis son arrestation cela a ete prouve que la drogue a ete mise a "l'insue de son plein gres" a l'aeroport de Brisbane...C'est un cas un peu similair a celui de :: Michael Blanc..Ce qui fait halluciner tout le monde ici, c'est que les personnes qui ont fait sauter la boite de nuit a Bali, en tuant pres de 200 Australiens on pris 2 ans et demi le mois dernier.... Today i leant why the ozzies are drinking from half pint glasses... and clearly it makes sens. It is not because they are a bunch of pussies, not at all, they are cool, it is because they like their beer cold, and if you get a pint glass, it has plenty of time to get to warm..... makes sens isn't it. We are cool here, today i have been looking for some casual/temping work, hoping that i will get a full time job following a very good interview last week. I went to the beach, took some brilliant pictures of the deserted sand, their was nobody there...but my memory card got corrupted..so you will have to trust me on it...here we go, that's all folks for today

(he had 5 bags for sale) - I mean common where else in the world can you get that?. Then I opened saturday's paper at the job section and found the add for Kangaroo shooter... I mean where else in the world... Anyway that was the hightlights of the day.. see ya

Seulement en Australie.. Aujourd'hui y a un mec (d'un certain age) qui a frappe a notre porte pour demander comment on etait notre stock de fumier de moutons!!!! (il avait 5 sacs a vendre).... dans l'aprem, je regardais les boulot dans le journal de samedi.. et j'ai trouve un job de tireur de kangourou....l'hallu... voili voila..c'est tout pour ajourd'hui

L'Australie est ses trotoires qui rouilles, apparemment du au fait que les villes prélèvent directement l'eau pour arroser a des profondeur ou la teneur en fer est forte. || Australia and its rusted pavement, apparently due to the fact that councils are watering the grass pavements with water that was collected at a level where there is high iron level.

An update is needed on this site, although I have not really done much. Some of you will be happy to learn that the weather has been really shit for the last week or so... I mean shit, it is still in the 20's... But it as been raining a lot, and I mean a lot. Some part of Perth, not far from us (on Aussie distance rule, NOT down the road really) have even been badly affected by a Tornado. See the news report here.
Other than that I had a Job interview with a Bank on Friday, to run their Business Objects.. But we'll see, nothing is decided yet-- But it is fair to say that I would not mind working there.
On another note, you gotta love Chinese imports.. We bought a LARGE TV and a TV Bench for less than that 120 quids...... See picture below... Anyway that is it for now..tara

Bon faut quand même que je rédige un peu de mon journal.
La Météo n'est pas très clémente en ce moment..Il pleut pas mal depuis une semaine, mais bon OK c'est l'automne et il fait encore une vingtaine de degrés.. et il faut pas se plaindre, mais bon, en fait je réalise que je vais avoir une drôle d'année en terme de saison, car pour moi, ça va faire Automne, Hiver, Automne Hiver en vrai......Sur un note plus positive nous avons achète une grosse télé, et un meuble télé pour moins de 170 Euros.. y a pas a dire ils sont trop fort ces Chinois (Voir photos ci-dessous. Sinon j'ai eu un entretien pour un boulot, Manager Business Objects pour une banque.. on va voir ce que cela va donner.. mais ça serait cool de pouvoir faire ça.. en plus ce n'est qu'a 25 minutes de chez moi.....on Verra. Voilia Voila..

Yesterday we went for a splendid meal at a French restaurant just down the road, to celebrate the 9 years we spent together. Bouchon Bistro Perth was just superb. I am sure that future people that will visit us will have the pleasure to enjoy the quality food from this french restaurant.

Right, about time I update this blog I believe... I haven't done a lot of interesting thing this week really, enhance the lack of update on this site. Mainly looking for jobs, had an interview for some Business Objects consulting .. We'll see. Today, we finally managed to pick up the boxes (those of you that came to my flat at the time the boxes were in the lounge will remember the one I am talking about ;-) ) and now we need to wash everything that is in there because it stinks.
Winter has arrived today, it was pissing it down earlier on (still 22 degrees though).
At the minute I am helping Karen with some Lane4 stuff, working from my lounge with the Ipod blasting out.. Sweet. Right that is it for today.. Hope next week will be more fructious in updatability..


Français : Bon, il est peut être temps de mettre a jour ce blog nom de dieu.. j'ai pas eu une semaine super intéressante, je suis a la recherche de boulot, j'ai passe un entretien lundi pour une boite de consultants Business Objects.. on verra ce que cela va donner. L'hiver est arrive, il est tombe des cordes ce matin, un truc de ouf. (Perth recoit en moyenne + de pluie que Londres annuellement... mais en général tout d'un bloc l’hallu) mais la ca va mieux - plus un nuage a l'horizon. Sinon, nous avons finalement récupère nos cartons ( 2 mois ça prend pour venir en bateau !!!).

We are back in Australia, with a visa.... Great! I did put online the pictures of Singapore, you can view them simply by Clicking here. So, Singapore was great, hot and humid, but great. One of Karen friends (Lucy) once described Singapore in being the place where East meets west, and I cannot see better definitions. It is a real cultural blend and a great place for Wantan noodles ;-). The specialty of Singapore (except counterfeit Von Dutch goods) is the Singapore Sling cocktail. Singapore is one of the cleanest nations of the world, littering is highly punished (fines between 100 and 200 quids) and Chewing gums are not on sale and are forbidden. That all folks for today..

Bon Singapour c'est GENIAL, bien chaud en bien humide, mais GENIAL. Une Cops de Karen (Lucy) nous a décrit Singapour comme l'endroit dans le monde ou l'ouest rencontre l'Asie et c'est vrai, le melting pot culturel est extraordinaire. La spécialité de Singapour (Outre les faux T-shirt Von Dutch), c'est un cocktail appelle le Singapore Sling. Singapour est l'une des nations les plus propres du monde. Il est fortement interdit de jeter des papiers ou des mégots dans la rue sous peine d'une forte amende (entre 1000 et 2000 francs). De même les chewing-gums ne sont pas proposés à la vente à Singapour. Traverser hors des clous, fumer dans les lieux publics sont aussi des délits sanctionnés par de lourdes amendes.
